Will it make things up about me?
No, and that's architectural, not a promise. Your agent can only answer from the knowledge base you approved. When a question goes beyond it, it says so honestly and points the visitor to you. No invented clients, no fabricated prices, no improvised opinions.
What happens when someone asks about my rates?
By default, your agent deflects gracefully ("that's something [you] discuss directly") and asks for the visitor's contact instead. Your most awkward question becomes your best lead source. Prefer to publish ranges? Approve them in your knowledge base and it will answer.
What do I need to provide?
